The Soggiorno Acqua Rio-Residence is located in Chioggia, the most important fish center of Northern Italy, younger sister of Venice, with its narrow streets and canals crossed by many bridges. It's from water and canals that the Soggiorno takes its name: the Acqua is water of the Venetian lagoon and the Rio is called the canal of St. Domenico, from the artistic church that stands in its most extreme point, where canal, lagoon and sea meet in a single body of water. It's situated in a strategic position, very close to each selected destination for excursions and for shopping or leisure (culture and entertainment). The Venetian red of building of '700 stands out among the dominant gray of the other buildings that rise on the large banks. The large vessels moor here on the way back from the sea, along with the flights of the gulls and of the cormorants fishing in the water, makes the environment one of the most picturesque of the city.
The Soggiorno Acqua Rio-Residence is located in the historic center of Chioggia, near the long bridge that connects it to the known seaside resort of Sottomarina, which is its beach. It is located along the canal of St. Domenico, with the entrance in the characteristic Calle Eleonora Duse at number 986.
Chioggia can be reached by following the ‘Romea’ state highway both coming from Ravenna and from Padua or Venice.
Various motorboats which moor very near to the Soggiorno come from Venice several times a day, after one hour seafaring. Those who arrive by private boats can temporarily moor at the bank facing the building, and can afterwards look for harbour in one of the several local docks.
One can arrive at the small railway station in Chioggia by trains coming every day from Rovigo and Adria.
A bit more than one hour away is situated the airport Marco Polo of Tessera ( Venice ) where frequent flights from the main cities of the world.
